I have noticed lately that indexing of pages by google is faster than ever I experience in just few minutes after my post I already seen my new blog post at google index, I guess there are many factors this happened, of course the more back link your site have the more chances google bot visit it. Not only that since wordpress cms have it’s own ping technology I guess this is one of the reason why bot notified every time a new post have made to the site.

Google webmaster tool I guess is a big factor also to get a site index fast if you submitted your your site sitemap and verified your site. One of google’s free tool for webmaster that I really love it.

My suggestion if you want to get your site or blog post index fast is:

1. Submit your post to the top social bookmarking sites like digg , propeller , del.icio.us , and stumbleupon

2.  Submit your news feed to rss aggregators and directories

3. Ping your site blog using pingomatic

4. Create sitemap and submit it to google webmaster tool

5. Be sure to post fresh content at least once a day, so that google bot will love your site.
