AOL have confirmed that they acquired SocialThing, FriendFeed competitor that is still in private beta.  According to techcrunch AOL have confirmed to them they already bought the said site. I am using for almost a year now the service of FriendFeed but I have not chance or luck to use the service of or feature of SocialThing.

Does the acquisition of AOL to the site social feed site will be a treat to FriendFeed? It’s hard to say, because for now SocialThing only accepting new members by invitation and getting invitation code is really hard for someone like who don’t know anyone else in the IM community.

Let’s see if the purchased of the said site by AOL will give internet community better interest
