It’s been almost year or more when I first heard latent semantic where google is trying to implement in their search engine algorithm many webmaster and seo experts have been discuss this before but many argument was happened until conclusion if the said technology or not was implement. The said technology latent semantic is that it will give more importance to relance not just the specific keyword or phrase. For example if you search in google for the keyword Philippines , the new technology will not only focus on the keyword Philippines but the relavance of keywords such us Filipino, Pinoy, Filipina, Manila all these keywords are related to Philippines.

Lately, many webmasters and seo expert again opened up this topic and now it seems google is implementing the said technology.  Many webmasters and seo expert were affected and complaining that they lose their SERP for their target keyword. In my observation also to my sites, it look like there is a basis of what they are claiming that google is not giving so much importance now to the anchor text we are using to build our back links.  Instead seems google algo now balancing all the keywords and phrase you’re using to anchor your back link.

If we analyzed, using the same anchor text all the time to build your back link is like keyword staffing in your page where most search engine penalized a page or site doing this keyword staffing.  The search engine company maybe noticed the abuse of this technique that is why they are slowly discredit same anchor text.
