I’ve been a member of digitalpoint forum even it was not familiar yet. In fact I am one of the most active member during those days at the forum Buy and Sell. Until sitepoint staff decided to charge their customer for a post at their marketplace.

Because of this action of Sitepoint most of their loyal member start to find other places to sell their electronic products. And DP Buy and sell forum start to be known by other webmasters. I am active seller during those time at DP and most of the members are responsible to their post. I can say during those old days we do self moderation for the success of the forum.

I even have chance to exchange words to the site owner shawn via PM and messenger. Maybe those days shawn was not very busy yet.

Until he decided to accept mods to watch the forum because the member grow rapidly. I don’t have objections to having a mods to a site, this is a great help to the site owner. But what I am questioning right now is that does those given the privilege to be the mod of one of the most popular webmaster forum on the net deserve to be a mod?

I was banned 3 times already from the site, for just posting an intentional post , something like please pm I am interested with your offer. Well I know it’s stated in the forum rules. But what I am questioning here is that there are so many members doing the same mistake I always report this members who are doing this violation not only once but many times, but I don’t see any action from the moderators. Other members even bump their trade 2-5 times a day but mods seems blind to other violator of the forum even other members reported those violator.

I don’t care if they banned me for violating the rules of the forum, that is my fault and mistake, what I hate is that they are not implementing the rules equally and fair. If they know or the member is came from their country they are not implementing the rules, not only that when a member complaining about mods of the forum about their impartiality, they give infrastructure to that member and take note they are watching every move of this member and they will banned him/her when he commit a very small violation while their pet even making huge violation no actions were taken.

How I wish shawn saw this problem from his mods or listen to other members complaining and suggestions.

Why not put back the old system of the forum, like what Allen does to his warrior forum. He listened to his members complaining about the forum mods attitudes. He remove all the mods and implement self moderation rule and look at warrior forum now, members are happy and they are very responsible to their post and action they learn to love the forum.

Most senior member of DP including the admin want the forum to be organized and clear some spams, and I agree with that but as long as those mods don’t play their rules with out favoring anyone else then those wish will remain wish.
